Hear Ye! Hear Ye! End of Thon Is a Motherfuckin Success Story........

It was almost over as quick as it seemed to have started.  The people, the errands, the hangers, Jagermeister, water cups, coat checks, dancing shoes, headphone hoodies, high fives, Last Call Valentining, sweaty rub downs on the dance floor (you know who you are), incoming flights from Chicago, text messages, dead cell phones, PBR cans and MGD bottles, bar straws, cigarettes, high heels, church hats, Cartel Acapulco shirts, DJs, musicians, and the whole beating heart youth of what we know as the Missoula Scene.  It all came forth with End of Thon......

The Disco Ball's gotta be blue from End of Thon's partially clothed outersex hoedown!
Transfixed in a blur of reflection, the dance floor was hot.  Hot like temperature.  Going from the center of the Complex, you could feel the heat furnacing out from the dance floor as The Hood Internet out of Chicago, blasted the cochlear nerve of every participant; quivering and shimmying in orgasmic drunken states of letting the outside world just disappear into the night.  Sweat. Guys. Girls. Speaker stacks. Angry faces and Horny smiles among the lot of them.  In other words: A Motherfucking Success Story.......

The Central Bar and Grill, one of downtown's newest joints, connects the space between the Badlander and The Palace.  This space is often closed off but for KBGA's End of Thon the stops are all left to the wayside.  With the three of these venues connected we have "The Complex."  Here we get to see how many people were loaded up into this large connection of spaces.  This is the Central itself, the middle ground between the bars. One stage to the south another bar and stage downstairs on the north.  People, People, People; thank you for the good time.

KBGA DJ Dawn Anderson is enveloped by the whirring, blurring, whiskey and beer of the The Hood Internet's windy city Mashups!  Dawn and Leah Grunzke are the hosts of Sunday morning's "Grassroots" show on 89.9 FM.  In the immortal words of Abe Lincoln, George Carlin, Bill S. Preston Esquire, and Ted Theodore Logan: "Party On Dudes!"

Visqueen rocks out downstairs at the Palace, playing to an extremely triple digit number of thirsty, all ages, college and aging college, hipster, unhip, to cool to be hep, money spending, big smiling, rug cuttin, Saturday night good time crowd of western Montana's Premiere college radio party participants; there is nothing else like it.......

General Manager Ben Weiss and longtime KBGA DJ "Peacemouse" talk about who knows what as the Ghost of 89.9fm pays a blurry visit to the party (look on the right of the image; mysterious female spirit? or a fly by of Program Director Clark Grant?)

The blurry, late night early morning crosswalk showdown.  Tired, excited, hopped up on vodka red bulls and tall boys, the dark lingers in the distance, swallowing all who venture too close into an evening of afterparties, reminiscing, laughter, closed bedroom doors, potential regrets, last beers, and many a home where Ghostbusters will be playing in the background on the living room television as the night'as peaks and embarrassments are recapped, endorsed, and denied.

In short, dear reader, let us all simply agree shall we?
End of Thon: A Motherfuckin Success Story
